Meeting with constituents is one of the most interesting and exciting parts about being an MEP and I welcome each and every opportunity to attend events in the constituency or host visitors groups here in Brussels.

From Mr Richard Kendrick, Town Close School, Norwich
'Year 6 pupils at Town Close House Prep School were recently lucky enough to receive a visit from Robert Sturdy MEP for East Anglia.
Mr Sturdy had visited the school earlier in the term prior to the Year 6 trip to Belgium and France.
On both occasions Mr Sturdy eloquently and enthusiastically stressed the
increasing importance that Europe and its political decision-making would
have on the future lives of the children. He kindly returned to present a
prize to the winner of the Trip Project. The winner of the Robert Sturdy
Prize was Victoria Taylor, pictured, receiving a European trophy. Mr
Sturdy's versatility and various interests were much in evidence as he
discussed the difficulties facing the sugar beet industry with Victoria's
father, a Norfolk farmer.
With such an effervescent and pro active approach, as shown by Robert
Sturdy, there can only be a greater engagement between the European
Parliament and the adults of the future.'
